What should precinct officers and volunteers be doing now? What can be expected at the State Convention on Sat 6/21? What is the June 24th Primary about? No worries, all your questions and more will be addressed at our next Precinct Idea Exchange. All are welcome to attend - the meeting is for any precinct officer or volunteer or interested voter. If you have a specific question you would like addressed please send me an email, votefordems@earthlink.net and I promise it will answered, either it will be discussed at the meeting, or I will send you a reply.
The Wake County Democratic Party is hosting a Breakfast with Speaker Joe Hackney on Tuesday, June 17th, at the Goodwin House, 220 Hillsborough St., Raleigh.
Speaker Hackney will be discussing current legislation and issues facing North Carolina.
Breakfast begins at 8:15, event begins at 8:30. Breakfast will include; Fresh fruit, Banana Nut bread, and Ham & Sausage Biscuits. Suggested cost for the Breakfast is $25.00 - Larger donations will be gratefully received.
There are only a few spots left. You must RSVP by contacting the WCDP office by 5:00 pm on Friday, June 13th.
The Senior Democrats of Wake County meet for lunch on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Crabtree Marriott Hotel from 11:00 to 1:00 pm. Click on the link below to view this month's meeting information.

The Democratic State Convention will meet on June 21, 2008 in New Bern, NC. At large delegates and alternates will be elected at this convention.

The AAC-WCDP will have its meetings on the last Tuesday of every month from 6:30p.m. - 7:30p.m. at the Goodwin House, located at 220 Hillsborough St. Raleigh, NC 27603. Speaker: Rep. Dan Blue. Get to the grassroots by taking to voters one-on-one. Join Ed and door knock Southern Wake County neighborhoods. We will meet at 10:00 AM at the Bushiban Coffee shop, in the Harris Teeter shopping center on the corner of US 401 and Ten-Ten road, just south of Raleigh/Garner and just north of Wake Tech Community College.

The Democratic Men's Club is having their Board Meeting June 30th at 6:00 pm at the Goodwin House, 220 Hillsborough St., Raleigh.
This month's meeting will NOT be held at the Goodwin House.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we WILL NOT be meeting at the NCDP Headquarters, instead we will meet at Stool Pigeons located around the corner on Glenwood South.

Goodwin House Closed for Independence Day
Leigh Ann & Roger Smith, Jr. have been heading up this event and sponsership opportunities for the event include:

The fundraiser will be on Tuesday July 8th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the Player's Retreat (PR). We have had a number of people agree to sponsor and I am hoping you will also agree to be a sponsor of this event!

Blaise Strenn is conducting a precinct committee meeting to discuss our Candidate Form & Bringing Democracy to Life Brochure, a precinct tool kit on the WakeDems webpage, and a possible county wide precinct event in late August.
These materials will be used for canvassing and voter education. Bring your ideas and marketing skills to help us design our brochures.
The event will be held at the Goodwin House, 220 Hillsborough St., Raleigh at 6:30.
