The Democratic National Convention meets in Denver August 25 to 28, 2008. Start: 11:30 am
Democratic Women of Wake County will meet Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the NC State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough Street. The program will feature Democrats Wayne Goodwin, candidate for Insurance Commissioner, Ronnie Ansley, candidate for Agriculture Commissioner, and Mary Fant Donnan, candidate for Labor Commissioner. The buffet lunch lines open at 11:30 am with the program starting at 12:00 Noon. The cost of the luncheon is $13.00. Start: 5:00 pm

Martha Brock is sponsoring a Meet & Greet for Stan Norwalk, candidate for Wake County Commissioner along with honored guest, Representative Jennifer Weiss, at North Cary Park, 1100 Norwell Blvd. Cary, on August 28th from 5 - 7 pm. Bring the family and your neighbors. There is no cost for this event, everyone is welcome! Light refreshments will be served. Please come with your questions about education, transit and roads, water supply, managing and paying for growth and any other questions regarding Wake County. Start: 7:00 pm
