The DWWC Board of Officers meets the first Monday of each month from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Registration begins at 5:00 pm.
Meeting begins at 6:00 pm.
The Wake Democratic Mens Club (WDMC) holds its regular dinner meeting on the second Monday of every month (except July and December) at the Clarion Hotel, 320 Hillsborough St., Raleigh, one block west of Goodwin House.
The May 2009 WDMC meeting will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Clarion Hotel. Registration starts at 6 PM, and a plated dinner is served at 6:30 PM. The cost of the sit-down dinner is $16 for members, first-time guests, and those not eligible for Club membership, $20 for non-members. All registered Wake County voters are eligible for Club membership. Please note the change in the cost of the meal for non-members.

Program
Our guest speaker will be Dr. Stephen C. Scott, President of Wake Technical Community College. Dr. Scott will discuss the various ways Wake Tech is meeting the current economic crisis. Time-permitting, a Q&A session will follow.
We will also be electing officers for the upcoming year. All guests are welcome to attend, but if you are a member, please make every effort to attend and vote for your new officers.

Presenter: David A. Zonderman
David A. Zonderman is an Associate Professor of History at NC State University and is Associate Department Head. He has taught American Labor History for more than twenty years, and is a member of the University's Academy of Outstanding Teachers. He helped to organize the Triangle Labor Group and the HOPE Coalition. David has expertise in the history of GS 95-98, the history of the HOPE Coalition, and the history of collective bargaining for public sector workers.
