DWWC to Host Special Evening Meeting in March Democratic Women of Wake County will host a special evening meeting on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Clarion Hotel State Capital, 320 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. The program speakers will be U.S. Senate candidates: NC Sec. of State Elaine Marshall, former NC State Senator Cal Cunningham, Attorney Kenneth Lewis, Attorney Marcus Williams and Ann Worthy. Registration and cash bar begin at 5:30 p.m.; dinner at 6:15 p.m. and program at 6:45 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $20.00 payable at the door. Advance reservations are required. The 2010 County Convention will be held on April 17, 2010 at Ligon Middle School in Raleigh for the purposes of electing delegates to the district conventions, considering precinct resolutions, and discussing the 2010 elections. Registration begins at 12:00. Wake County Young Democrats will be selling hot dogs, chips and drinks. Precinct Officer Training begins at 8:30am (registration at 8am).
