Wake County Democratic Party Bringing Democracy to Life!

Democratic Women of Wake County will hold a luncheon meeting on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the NC State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh.

Guest speakers will be Nina Szlosberg-Landis and Gwen Wilkins, candidates for First Vice Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party.

The buffet lines open at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at 12 noon. The cost of the luncheon, payable at the door, is $18 for members, $20 for non-members and $5 for anyone wishing to attend and not eat.

The Wake Democratic Men's Club is proud to welcome State Representative Rick Glazier as its speaker at the Clarion hotel in downtown Raleigh on January 14th. Rick will draw on his many experiences and speak to some of the challenges and opportunities facing us in the wake of the recent elections. Our regular meetings usually fall on the first Tuesday of every month. However, since the first Tuesday is New Year’s Day, our January 2013 meeting will be one week later on Tuesday, January 8th at the Goodwin House, 220 Hillsborough St. in Raleigh.
Importantly, this will be the meeting at which we elect new officers for the coming year. This includes Wake YD President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. At the same meeting, we will also be electing 5 members to our Executive Board.
