Patrick Buffkin
A native of Florida and raised in Kernersville, NC, Patrick Buffkin has called Raleigh home since he moved here to attend North Carolina State University. He graduated from NC State's College of Management with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Shortly before graduation Patrick began working as on staff at the North Carolina General Assembly.
In his first position at the General Assembly, Patrick was an aide to then-Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee Representative Edd Nye, one of the longest serving members of the NC House of Representatives. This position led to other work at the Legislature and in State Government and ultimately to his present position as a Legislative Analyst with the law firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP.
Outside of his professional life Patrick enjoys the outdoors, exercising, and is an active member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church. Through his membership with the church, Patrick is active in ministries that improve the lives of the homeless and underprivileged, including Habitat for Humanity.
"I really enjoy my work and love my country and state," Patrick says, "and that is why I believe it is so important to elect responsible Democratic leaders to guide our government." Come fall you will find Patrick on the streets of Wake County working to support the mission of the Wake County Democratic Party.
