Elected Cary Vice Chair, Catherine Evangelista has worked to secure democratic victories in Cary's 2007 municipal elections and worked on numerous campaigns for candidates running in municipal to national elections.

Catherine's accomplishments include:

• Lifelong Democrat, grassroots volunteer and activist.
• Member, State Executive Committee, elected 2007 - 2009
• Cary Vice Chair, WCDP. Elected 2007 - 2009.
• Selected to Cary's Economic Development Council, 2008
• Board of Directors, Democratic Women of Wake County.

  • Education: Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Journalism from the Univ. of Kansas and Texas A&M Univ.
  • Professional Background: A former television news reporter and news anchor, Catherine has 18 years experience in news, advertising and marketing with such companies as NBC, Sprint and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. She's won national marketing awards, piloted online marketing at BCBSNC and presented market research at national conferences.
