We encourage all of you to take this very important GOTV training. We will be asking our precinct officers and volunteers to participate in canvassing efforts with OFA. OFA will be canvassing with our Wake Dems slate card and we want to make sure as many voters as possible know who all our 2012 Democratic candidates are. Please do your best to attend the training.

The NCDP will be partnering with President Obama’s campaign, as well as the Democratic Party’s statewide Coordinated Campaign, to provide all local organizers with call sheets, scripts, and training. NCDP 2nd Vice Chair, Zack Hawkins, and I will be reaching out to all of our county chairs and auxiliary chairs in the coming weeks to secure at least one phone banking site and designated coordinator in each county. We will also work through Facebook to get activists registered to participate in their communities and to share phone bank locations. Our party has always been about the people and not the wealthy and powerful. As we have seen in the past few months, the GOP messaging is being bankrolled by the super rich and carried out by Karl Rove’s Super PACS, it will take grassroots action to counter their efforts. Please make time in your busy schedule to take part in your Democratic Party’s Statewide Day of Action on October 6th.
