The Young Democrats of Wake County present the P.R. Latta Volunteer of the Year Award annually to a member of the Democratic Party residing in Wake County who has shown an outstanding and lifelong commitment to grassroots activism. Past award winners include P.R. Latta, Al Adams, Betty Ann Knudsen, and Eugene Weeks. The 2005 recipient of the award is Mr. Ronnie Condrey.
