2005 Candidates Forum (10/24/2005 ) The Fuquay-Varina Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host the 2005 Candidates Forum on Monday, October 24th. The event will take place at Windsor Point Retirement Center (1221 Broad St./Hwy 55) from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mayor John Byrne has no opposition for his upcoming third term and will welcome the audience before turning the program over to the moderator. The forum will be moderated by an unaffiliated outsider to ensure fairness to all candidates. There are 7 candidates vying for 2 seats on the Town of Fuquay-Varina Board of Commissioners. Questions to be considered for candidates participating in the forum can be submitted to Sue Tarabokia via email or by mailing to 121 North Main St., Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 Attn: Candidates Forum.
