Crucial Conversation Luncheon Join us for a Crucial Conversation Insuring Health for All North Carolina’s Children Hosted by NC Policy Watch and Action for Children Tuesday, March 13th Making health insurance accessible for all North Carolina's children is do-able. It is not only the compassionate thing to do, but also a wise investment in the future of our children, families and communities. This discussion will provide a picture of what is happening today with children’s health insurance. Our panel will review the current insurance status for children in North Carolina, review the programs that are in place and discuss the various proposals that have been made to expand coverage. Panelists: * Lanier Cansler - President of Cansler Fuqua Solutions, former Representative to the State Legislature and former Deputy Secretary to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. * Mark Holms, PhD - Vice President of the North Carolina Institute of Medicine (NC IOM) and a senior research fellow in health economics and finance at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North. * Tom Vitaglione- Sr. Fellow for Health & Safety with Action for Children, former chief of the Children & Youth section of Women’s and Children’s Health for the state of North Carolina.
