The North Carolina Democratic Party is pleased to announce that the Honorable Rahm Emanuel will be the featured guest at the annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner on April 28th in Raleigh.

Emanuel is a U.S. Congressman from Illinois. He serves on the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee and is the House Democratic Caucus Chairman.

As chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee during the 2006 election cycle, Emanuel helped orchestrate the successful takeover of the U.S. House.

“We are delighted to have Congressman Emanuel as our special guest for the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner,” said Jerry Meek, NCDP chairman. “His integrity and willingness to ask tough questions of an increasingly recalcitrant Bush Administration is an inspiration to us all.”
