Doors open at 5:00 pm and zoom opens at 5:25.   Voting Members must be Registered Democrats age 50 and up\, but we welcome all like minded souls. We have MANY non voting members both in and out of Wake County! Translation\, we don’t care what your age is\, or whether you are Dem or UNA voter\, everyone is welcome. Our focus for 2026 is the 13K Wake Senior Dems who didn’t vote in 2024 and 43K Wake Senior Dems who didn’t vote in 2022. Outreach\, especially during times of insanity (47th President) and upcoming Midterms are on all our minds. \nEvery Day Counts\, so please come join us! DESCRIPTION:***THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED*** \nThis is the second of two one-hour training sessions that follow “Direct Voter Contact Lead 101\,” for DVC Leads and other precinct and area officers who organize Virtual Phone Banking (VPB) events.  \nPrerequisite: This session assumes that attendees have used the OpenVPB phone-banking platform and are familiar with its basic functions and navigation. DVC Leads and others who plan to host VPB training sessions for volunteers but are not yet familiar with OpenVPB’s functions should attend a VPB session as a volunteer first to receive training on OpenVPB. Check the Events Calendar for a “Virtual Phone Bank Training and Call Session” to register.  \nThis session covers how to host a virtual training session for volunteers in Google Meet\, including: \n\nThe basics of hosting training sessions in Google Meet\nAn outline and tips for training volunteers on OpenVPB\nAvailable training materials for DVC Leads and other local VPB organizers\nTips\, tricks\, and common technical support issues for assisting phone-banking volunteers\n\nOrganizers who will plan and organize VPB sessions for volunteers (in addition to conducting the actual training) also should register for and attend the preceding class to this one\, “VPB for DVC Leads – Planning VPB Sessions.”
