Candidate Statement:
I am honored to represent the people of Northeast Wake County in the North Carolina House of Representatives. My commitment to public service began on the Knightdale Town Council, continued as Mayor, and now guides my work in the General Assembly. With more than 30 years of experience in higher education and workforce development, I understand the importance of creating opportunities for every North Carolinian. My legislative priorities include strengthening public education, increasing teacher pay, expanding access to affordable healthcare and housing, supporting small businesses, creating good-paying jobs, and investing in safe communities. It is important to me to support our state retirees and veterans who have given so much to North Carolina. I believe effective leadership begins with listening, building partnerships, and ensuring that the voices of our communities are heard in Raleigh. I remain committed to addressing the challenges facing our growing communities and expanding opportunities for all residents.
