About WCDP

Wake County Democratic Party Committees

Communications and Media Team

The Communications and Media Team works to provide timely information internally and externally through a variety of means. This include managing social media account, sending mass emails, and developing content for the website and other digital platforms (including creation of graphics). This team is critical for creating and promoting the WCDP brand.

Lead: Kate Bixler, Third Vice Chair

Data Analytics Committee

The Data Analytics Committee organizes gathered data in order to provide meaningful conclusions to WCDP. WCDP gets a wide array of information from a wide range of sources: voter turnout, canvassing results, Google Analytics, surveys. This team is critical to making sense of that information to move forward strategically and ensuring that volunteer leaders are able to communicate the results and the ensuing strategies in a compelling way.

Lead: Sarah Leehr

Data Management Corps

The Data Management Corps (DMC) manages WCDP’s “voter files” in our database: VoteBuilder. This includes maintaining up-to-date contact information such as name, phone number, address, etc, as well as tracking activity of voters and volunteers’ efforts to reach them. The DMC works directly with Precinct Chairs, District Coordinators, and other Committees to provide outreach lists and other information to match project needs.

Lead: Larry Boone, DMC

Development/Funding Committee

The Development/Funding Committee develops programs to ensure adequate resources for WCDP. This includes phone, email, and social media campaigns , as well as fundraiser events. Building lasting relationships with our existing donors and networking with new ones is paramount.

Lead: Emmy Boyette

Technology Committee

The Technology Committee works to meet the needs of WCDP by developing, implementing and supporting platforms and processes related to technology.

Training Team

The Training Team designs and conducts informational activities to teach our volunteers about different programs, tools, or tactics.

Volunteer Engagement Team

The Volunteer Engagement Team engages new and existing volunteers to help orient them within WCDP and find the best place for them within our large organization. This means designing and implementing the pathway new volunteers use to enter the organization and helping existing volunteers move laterally within it.
