Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do we need onboarding? WCDP is a large and complex organization and we function better when everyone has a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities. Our training platform is part of the efforts to improve knowledge and communication around technology and data.

  • What is Moodle? Moodle is a Learning Management System (LMS) that we use to provide training to volunteers.

  • How do I use Moodle? Volunteers access Moodle via a web browser (Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape, Internet Explorer, etc.) on any platform (PC, Mac, etc.) with Internet access. Login to Moodle using the button at the top of the page.

  • How do I log into Moodle? You must log in using the email address given to the onboarding team. If you have an email address, on the login page, click “Sign in with Google.” If you do not have an address, you should have received a username and password by email. If you have problems, email the 4th Vice Chair.

  • What if I don’t have a Moodle account? If you can’t log in and receive an error message such as “An account with your email address could not be found”, then the onboarding team needs to create your account. Please submit an onboarding request through the Information / Request Form.

  • What courses do I need to take? You have been automatically enrolled in all courses that are required for your role. Please complete each course listed on your “My Courses” page.
