Candidate Statement:

I'm a teacher, policy analyst, and community advocate. As a proud graduate of Wake County Schools, I understand the lasting impact our schools have on our entire community. On the Board of Education, my focus will be ensuring every child, no matter their background, receives the resources and support they need to succeed.

Education gave me the chance to not only build a better future for myself, but to become an advocate for others. As a classroom teacher, I saw myself in my students and worked tirelessly to help them discover their own potential.

Having experienced the day-to-day realities of our public schools, I know our educators, students, and families need our support now more than ever.
