WCDP Election Central – Candidate Information

Candidate Statement:
I'm running for Congress to restore balance, accountability, and basic competence to government. For much of my career, I've worked behind the scenes helping states, communities, and organizations make complicated systems work better, especially in health care. I believe Washington will work better if it listens more, spends carefully, and respects the limits placed on it by the Constitution.
As your representative, I will show up, tell the truth, and do the work. That means holding regular town halls, showing up in the district, and making sure constituents can actually reach their member of Congress. It means taking Congress's responsibilities seriously, especially its power over spending and oversight, and pushing back when authority drifts too far from the people and the states. And it means protecting access to health care while being honest about what works, what doesn't, and what needs reform.
Among my core values are integrity, compassion, and kindness. Driven by these values, I will seek to provide steady leadership and support fiscal discipline, while putting the needs of my constituents first.
Direct Quote:
"My priorities are simple: show up for constituents, restore accountability under the Constitution, and protect access to health care while pursuing reforms that actually make the system work better."
Issues:
Constituent Services Comes First
Representation starts with listening. I believe members of Congress should be visible, accessible and accountable to ALL the people they serve. I will hold regular town halls across the district, spend time in communities large and small and maintain offices that actually help constituents navigate federal agencies. Whether it's a veterans' benefit, Social Security issue, or small business concern, constituent service is not optional, it's the core job. You shouldn't need connections or party loyalty to get help from your representative. You should just need a problem and a willingness to ask.
Accountability Under Article I
The Constitution gives Congress clear responsibilities under Article I, especially over spending, lawmaking, and oversight. Too often, Congress has handed those duties off to the executive branch. I will work to reclaim Congress's role, insist on clear laws passed by elected representatives, and demand oversight of how taxpayer dollars are spent. Accountability isn't partisan - it's core to the constitution. Restoring balance between the branches is essential to trust, transparency, and self-government.
Protect Access, Reform Health Care
Health care should be accessible, affordable, and focused on patients. I support reversing recent Medicaid changes that reduce coverage for vulnerable populations and continuing ACA premium subsidies that help working families afford insurance. We also need serious reforms that address rising costs, workforce shortages, and barriers to care that frustrate patients and providers alike. That means strengthening primary care, supporting the health care workforce, reducing unnecessary administrative burden, and giving states flexibility to innovate. Reform should be practical and evidence-based.
