Fuquay-Varina Municipals Mayor - William "Bill" Harris

Candidate Statement:

After growing up in Fuquay-Varina and graduating from Fuquay Consolidated High School, Bill earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University. While in office as a Town Commissioner, Bill has served two terms as Mayor Pro Tem, Chairman of the Law and Finance Committee, and is currently Chairman of the Public Works Committee. He has been an Adjunct Professor at Shaw University where he taught in the Public Administration Department.

Issues:

Building A Future

Building a future for everyone that is actionable, achievable, and provides a better quality of life by creating a better, more equitable (and physical) connection between the towns.

Infrastructure

Working on badly needed infrastructure that has not kept up with the massive development of residential housing and population growth.

Recreational and Cultural Programs

Building / improving recreational and cultural programs and facilities that attract visitors and provide enjoyment for the community.
