Candidate Statement:

I have been a Garner resident for the past 61 years and a small business owner in Garner for 28 years. I am invested in Garner as a homeowner and a business owner. I have always embraced our “small town” charm and I am thankful that my family has built a life here.

Issues:

Infrastructure

Continue to plan for transportation improvements, sidewalks, and enhanced bus service in town.

Economic Development

Actively promote Garner and pursue economic development that brings well-paying jobs.

Affordable Housing

Establish a Housing and Neighborhood Manager to work with local and county officials to identify and increase affordable housing options in Garner. This position will also assist long-term residents by seeking financial resources to enable them to maintain and remain in their homes.
