Join southwest Raleigh Democrats reading edifying–and potentially subversive–literature. In September, we revisited George Orwell’s classic 1984. We realized that reading books in 2025 constitutes an act of resistance to Big Brother’s intrusiveness. That and it’s fun to discuss them with friends over a great cup of coffee in a newly reopened, beloved neighborhood cafe near NCSU.
In October, we’ll take on Abundance, by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson. What favorite read do you recommend?
